Star Ace Spa Reviews

Amy answered the phone and was my masseuse. I was in at 7:15 on Thursday night and since I had not been here before, I told her 60 minutes only. The whole place was cleaner than most I have been to. Amy showed me to my spot and I got ready in the normal fashion, laid down and awaited her arrival. I told her medium pressure with a little more in the bigger muscle areas. She said deep tissue is what I need, and I said ok, whatever she thought. Amy's English is extremely good, and she likes to talk and find out about her client. I appreciated that, as I like to chat also. She shows you the time when the actual massage starts with the phone clock and then at the end of your session also, which clears up any issues that might arise from that. She was extremely attentive at any questions or comments I had and answered all easily. Her technique was exactly what I asked for and I don't think I could have had a better experience. She is small in stature, but that does not reveal how strong her hands and techniques are. I added 30 minutes to the end because everything went exceptionally well, which she happily accommodated. I did have a small qualm about the phone situation. For the 90 minute session, I paid double what I normally pay everywhere else for 60 minutes. I contested their pricing a little, but in the end, I paid it and tipped Amy $50., which brought the total of everything to $200. She said the charge rate was normal for the area. I would expect this to come without phone interruptions or tending walk ins or other distrurbances... it did not. I believe whoever is manager/owner should be there tending to phone and walk-ins, taking money, etc. making the customer experience better. I will go back and visit Amy very soon, but, unfortunately will shorten the session time. Now, the prices are clearly posted when you walk in the door, so I'm not disappointed, because clearly I have been getting deep tissue sessions for years without an upcharge.

So they deleted my review from May 2026 so I’m going to rewrite my review. So I took my daughter to get her first massage and head spa treatment done together. It started off we had to wait after our appointment to get started. Then they acted like we didn’t have an appointment and rushed us in the massage room . One lady said she will start on me and the other lady will be there soon. The other lady showed up about 10-15 later and stated massaging my daughter. I made it very clear several times this was her first and she needs a soft relaxation massage. They kept not only leaving the room to answer the phone and customers walking in but my daughter’s massage was so rough it hurt her . These are not professional massage therapist and someone needs see what’s going on in this business. After that that stopped working on my daughter 10 minutes earlier because they started massaging her later then my massage. Then the head spa was a joke they used cheap shampoo and conditioner and washed my hair twice and only used the water halo for less then a 1 min. So I was already disappointed and to Top it off when I was paying the demanded a tip a high tip . And was getting mad at us because we didn’t. Not a good place I think it’s a scam business. Don’t go there . And those 5 stars are either fake or those people never had a real massage before. I’m reposting this review because they deleted my last review. This place is not a real massage therapist place. That’s why it’s so cheap in price

Please don’t believe the positive reviews on here, as I suspect they are fraudulent. Every response to negative feedback has an automated response, and the details on the positive ones lack important information. This business is held in a household, with no clear license for massage to be seen. They hold Groupon deals to lure people in, but this is not a legitimate massage business. I put in an appointment weeks prior, and they didn’t hold the appointment. They “fit” me in at the time they could see me and my husband, but at a very early hour. They were adamant about coming early, and we did, only for us to wait 20 min past our appointment time. We gave them the benefit of the doubt, and waited. We got on the table and we could hear alarm bells sounding at all times, and the owner arguing with a previous customer. This set our appointment back at least 30 minutes. Even after starting late, the conversation was very limited. We never want to judge someone based on their ability to speak English, but it caused great difficulty to express pain when the massage was being provided. We never signed waivers, which is a huge red flag. On top of that, the massage therapist left multiple times to answer calls or just to change the song on the playlist. They definitely didn’t adhere to the 50 minute appointment we booked. We were dressed and back in our car by 11:06 after only being seen at 10:30 The massage was painful on my part. I requested them to be more gentle. And still, I was being pinched and elbowed most of the massage. We paid extra for the hot stone, which was enjoyable, but they were only used for maybe 10 minutes of the massage. What struck me the most was they were trying to pop certain parts of my back. Popping backs can be very dangerous to some clients. Even after starting late, leaving the room multiple times for calls, and a painful massage, the person who checked us in demanded a 20 dollar tip for each person. They wanted a 40 dollar tip in total. We felt so uncomfortable we just paid and left. All of the automated responses say they would address these issues that have been stated multiple times, but they clearly don’t. I’m sorry, but these people are running a scam on Groupon to get customers and they are running an illegal massage business without any license. They are charging close to what other companies charge for what actual licensed massage therapist do. Please don’t risk any kind of harm to your body to save money. Please do not support this business

The deep tissue massage was very thorough, but I never really relaxed as Lucy kept answering the phone and stepped out twice to help other customers. I did not get the full 90 minutes because of the interruptions. When I paid and put out a 15% tip ( because of the lack of professionalism) she told me she deserved more and actually grabbed a $20 from what I had sitting on the counter and made change giving me $10 back. I am a senior and felt unsafe and intimidated.

Wonderful price. We were a little worried because we got it with a coupon, but it was very good effort and I appreciate moving our appointment when we needed it. The owner or manager from the front does do some of the massages and she may have to occasionally answer the phone. My only recommendation is she should make people aware of that before the service but she did such a good job that I didn’t mind it. I’ve been in small business before I understand. She should just let people know. Again the price was outstanding and the value is definitely there. I completely recommend. We received the couples massage.
